AMANDLA is looking for a Partnership & Fundraising Officer

AMANDLA is a globally award winning social enterprise with over a decade of experience in the humanitarian sector, specialising in infrastructure, youth development and sport for development. AMANDLA has offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg (South Africa) and Berlin (Germany).
AMANDLA is the developer of the Safe-Hub model, which establishes a world-class infrastructure in disadvantaged communities, providing a physically and emotionally safe space where young people access services, opportunities and support from strong role models through sports-based programmes that focus on health, safety, education, and employability. We are currently rolling out the Safe-Hub model nationwide as well as working on other exciting projects. JOB SCOPE
The key purpose of the job is to implement AMANDLA’s diverse range of fundraising and partnership activities and projects to grow the organisation’s overall income. Key responsibilities include:

– Meet all fundraising targets and timelines
– Identify and engage with new funding and partner opportunities across different sectors
– Complete fundraising applications and concept notes
– Deliver on partnership responsibilities as per agreements (Reports, Events etc.)
– Coordinate events & activities implemented jointly with partners
– Maintain & update Customer Relationship Management software (Salesforce)
– Support Directors with any fundraising related activities

CORE COMPETENCIES, ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS and PREFERENCES

Educational:
University Bachelor Degree in Public Relations/Fundraising/Communication/Event Management/Business and other related fields

Experience, Skills & Personal Attributes:
– Intermediate to excellent Computer Skills – MS Office
– Copywriting skills (concise & creative)
– Event management & coordination skills
– Excellent interpersonal skills with confidence to develop relationships (persuasive & motivational communicator; enthusiastic networker)
– Strong service attitude
– Advanced English Language skills (other South African languages an advantage)
– Experience working in Fundraising or Communications or PR of advantage
– Experience managing key accounts in the corporate sector of advantage
– Passion for realising young people’s potential and changing lives
– Ability to travel within South Africa
